Reading: Today we will read for 10 minutes. Your next book review will be on April 3rd

Agenda:
  1. You may listen to music as you work. Make sure all supplies and Chromebooks get returned neatly.
  2. Today you will complete an activity called a One Pager. Your page must include:
    1. The title TAKING A STAND
    2. A picture that represents a courtroom or justice.
    3. Important quotes from chapters 17-19 by the following people during the trial:
      1. Atticus
      2. Mr. Gilmer
      3. Mayella Ewell
      4. Tom Robinson
      5. The jury
    4. Atticus's words to the jury "This case is as simple as black and white." pg. 271
    5. Other descriptions from the chapters that you think are important
    6. A summary of the events during the trial
    7. A personal response to the trial. What are your thoughts about what happened to Tom Robinson?
    8. You MUST have COLOR.

  1. Assets are the positive things in a person's life that help the person do well.
  2. You will take a survey to see how of these assets are present in your life. You will not have to share this information with any other student in the class. When you are finished add up the number of assets you have (the ones where you answered TRUE).
  3. Start a new English Journal
