  1. Fill out the reading progress form.
  2. We will start on your book review in class. It is due on Sunday by 9PM.
  3. Finish reading chapter 19 of TKAM.
    1. This link will start you at the beginning of chapter 19. Page 218.
  4. Add your book to your website portfolio.
  5. Finish labeling and coloring your Maycomb map.
  6. Today the counselors will be coming in to schedule you for your classes next year.

Reading: Today we will read for 10 minutes. 

Agenda:
  1. Today you will spend 5 minutes filling in more of the TKAM001 Plot Analysis document in Google Classroom. List with your partner the trouble that is brewing in the novel. You can use this PDF of the novel to look up events. Think about:
    1. The court case
    2. Tom Robinson
    3. Racism in the town
  2. Spend five minutes starting your new vocabulary assignment.
  3. We will end the period by reading from TKAM.
    1. Open the PDF from step 1. Go to page 91 and find the words, "Are you the father..."
    2. Start the audio for the novel. Remember we are in the middle of the trial. Mr. Ewell is on the stand.

Reading: Today we will read for 10 minutes. 

Agenda:
  1. Open your consequentialism tracker. Start a new English journal. Use the sentences below to write about one of the characters:
    1. I think that...would/wouldn't make it to the Good Place. First of all,...This action has many consequences...In addition,...This action results in...Therefore,... would be included/excluded from The Good Place.
  2. You will label and color in a map of Maycomb.
    1. Label 6-8 events that occurred in the book where they happened.
    2. Use this PDF of the book to search for the places on the map.
    3. Color in your map.
  3. Read the first part of chapter 17.

Reading: Today we will read for 10 minutes. 

Agenda:
  1. Add to the consequentialism tracker. What new actions can you evaluate?
  2. Today you will practice writing about a character and whether they would enter the Good Place.
    1. I think/do not think...would enter the Good Place. First of all,...This action affected...(use a few sentences to analyze the action). Second of all,...Therefore,...should/shouldn't make it into the Good Place.
  3. Read the summary of chapters 11-15. Identify five key events from the summary that you will look for in the video. Make a list of them in the same English journal.
  4. Watch TKAM movie. Start at 51:03 and end at 1:07:00.

  1. I can analyze a character's actions.

Reading: Today we will read for 10 minutes. 

Agenda:
  1. You can have 15 minutes to catch up on your vocabulary. If you finish, I will put it in the grade book today.
  2. iTime - Communication x 2
    1. You will interview your partner. You will ask the questions below. Write down key words that he or she says.
    2. Create a poster that represents that person using symbols for the words you wrote down. You may trace if you need to.
    3. Here are the interview questions:
      1. What are you interested in?
      2. Where do you live?
      3. What are your strengths?
      4. What would you like to get better at?
      5. What is your favorite part of school?
      6. What are your goals for the future?
    4. If the person gives you a short answer, always follow up with the phrase "tell me more about..."
